Shane's skill, experience, professionalism, and compassion make him a trusted advisor and fierce advocate. Currently, Shane represents workers fighting for their rights and people who have been injured in everyday life by the negligence of others. In addition to litigating, Shane maintains a real estate, estate planning, and probate practice and is available for select family law matters.

Being reasonable and finding solutions to problems efficiently and in a cost-effective way usually benefits everyone. However, when settlement is not possible, experience matters, and Shane has successfully represented clients in civil, family, criminal, administrative, and probate courts in contested hearings and trials.

Prior to joining Kissane Associates, Shane worked as a paralegal at two prestigious civil litigation law firms in New York City. Following his stint in New York, Shane returned to Vermont and joined Kissane Associates as a paralegal and law clerk in the Law Office Study Program (a four-year study program overseen by the Vermont Judiciary in place of law school). Shane completed the law office study program and passed the Vermont Bar Exam in 2015.

Shane is a native Vermonter and a graduate of the University of Vermont (UVM). As an undergrad, Shane was the Director of Student Legal Services, an investigator for the Chittenden County Public Defender, a semifinalist at the U.S. Universities Debate Championship, and a member of the first two-person team to represent UVM at the World Debate Championship.

When he is not relentlessly serving his clients, Shane enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, traveling, and sports.
